This policy applies to Herm Personal Automation (“the tool”), a private automation tool used by a single individual, its owner. It is not a public service.
When the owner authorizes it, the tool accesses the owner's own Google account using the
read-only Gmail permission (gmail.readonly). This allows it to read messages in
that one mailbox. It cannot send, delete, label, or modify email, and it cannot access any other
Google service or any other person's account.
To identify correspondence that needs the owner's attention — for example shipping and delivery notices, billing and renewal reminders, appointments, and deadlines — and to report those to the owner.
Extracts and summaries are stored locally on equipment the owner controls. Google account data is not copied into any third-party service. No advertising or analytics trackers are used on this site or in the tool.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. The tool does not disclose the contents of the mailbox to anyone other than its owner.
Only what is needed to operate is kept, and it can be deleted by the owner at any time. Revoking the tool's access in the owner's Google Account settings immediately ends all access.
The owner may revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation takes effect immediately.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date.
